Bruce Spotleson

A longtime senior executive with a background in start-ups, acquisitions, and the challenges associated with at-risk organizations, Bruce has previously served as both a chairman and board member of non-profit organizations in several regions of the U.S.

During an extensive media career, he held senior management positions at companies in northern and southern Nevada, as well as in five other states. The experience introduced him to the internal workings of an array of industries and nonprofit causes.

Bruce joined Vegas PBS as development director in 2013, guiding the funding for television and educational outreach programming. He joined The Neon Museum in 2019 as Vice President, and later was chosen by its board to serve as Interim Executive Director through the post-Covid challenges of 2021 and the successful recruiting process for a permanent CEO.

Previous to that, he held senior executive positions in the Greenspun Media Group of Henderson, where he was instrumental in the launch and management of numerous print, broadcast and digital media.

The 2014 Chairman of the Board for the Vegas Chamber, he was founding chairman of Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, a co-founder of Nevada Gives, and has served on numerous community boards and committees. A former Private Sector Person of the Year in Henderson, he has been host of two issues-oriented weekly cable television programs, and over the years earned a number of writing awards from state press associations. He is an avid fly fisherman who enjoys the outdoors.
